Welcome to the 13th Israeli-German Administrators' Conference
For the thirteenth time, Israeli and German administrators and research managers come together to discuss common interests and grand challenges of science administration. These conferences have a long-standing tradition and fruitful cooperation and personal friendships have developed over the years. The last conference, which was held in Israel from 7 – 10 September 2009, was a memorable event for everybody who participated. To continue this success story, the organizers of the 13th Israeli-German Administrators' Conference have put together what will hopefully be an equally interesting and enjoyable program.
This year’s priority topics will be Strategy and Change Management, Science Marketing and Recruitment and Staff Retention. The four days of conference program will also include workshops covering a number of administrative areas, such as safety, finance and fundraising, communication and information technology, teaching and training, construction, maintenance and real estate, study alliances and third party funding. Besides the regular program, there will be time for a boat trip and a visit to the city of Speyer. The second part of the conference will be held in Munich and surrounding – amongst other highlights the participants will have the opportunity to enjoy Nymphenburg Palace.
For the first time, the conference will be organized by three German partners: The Heidelberg University, the German Cancer Research Center and the Helmholtz Zentrum München will host the administrators. The Israeli partners include Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv University, and the Weizmann Institute of Science.
